Arthur Bacon Golf Tournament 2018
The annual golf tournament with the Mayor is a great way to mix business and fun. The Arthur Bacon Golf Tournament 2018 honors the former Mayor and is the City of Smyrna’s annual golf championship. The tournament was first hosted in 1986. This year, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Smyrna Arts & Cultural Council.
This two-day event will be conducted at Fox Creek Golf Club (1501 Windy Hill Road) on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th, 2018.
The focus of the tournament is to have fun through fellowship. This annual championship with the Mayor is a great way to mix business and fun!
There will be a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start each day. Groups will be paired with preferred partner requests. Individual handicaps will not be considered when scoring. Partners and assigned holes will remain the same on Saturday and Sunday. The lowest total two-day gross score for each flight will be declared the winner. Flights will be determined after Saturday’s round scores. Additionally, prizes are awarded in each flight.
A continental breakfast, on-course lunch, and refreshments after the round will be provided on Saturday. A continental breakfast, refreshments, and a buffet style meal will be provided on Sunday. Free-range balls will be provided each day. Tee gifts will be given out to each player on Saturday. There will also be prizes for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
The tournament fee is $125 per person and is limited to the first 100 completed applications received. Entry deadline is Wednesday, May 2 at 5 p.m.
