Cobb County Commissioner Bob Ott will host a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, April 6th at 7 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center at 200 Village Green Circle. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss Cobb County’s budget.

Cobb County is facing a $31 million budget deficit . Recommendations for closing the gap include employee furlough days, reducing bus service, cutting hours at senior centers and libraries, selling properties and reducing money for nonprofit organizations.

Commissioner Ott discussed the budget deficit last week with citizens at a Town Hall meeting at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church.

Commissioners are scheduled to vote on a revised budget April 12.

The town hall meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center at 200 Village Green Circle.
