Hogtoberfest at South City Kitchen Vinings
It’s time to pig out at South City Kitchen Vinings’ fourth annual Hogtoberfest celebration October 23rd through November 1st. Executive Chef Chip Ulbrich and his culinary team have created a delicious pork-centric menu that features a variety of dishes from nose to tail. The following special items will be available in addition to most of the regular dinner menu:
- Hoppin’ John with pepper jowl bacon, toasted cornbread, fried egg, watercress 10
- Crispy Pig Ear Salad with frisee, fresh pomegranate, butternut squash, mustard vinaigrette 9
- Edwards Surryano Ham with house country pate, pickled mustard seeds, bacon fat aioli, apple butter, toasted levain 14
- Sapelo Island Clams with tomato broth, Fregola pasta, country ham, fresh herb-tarragon salad 12
- Crispy Calamari with chorizo sausage, Brussels sprout slaw, malt vinegar aioli, honey roasted peanuts 11.50
- Edwards Dan Doodle Sausage Sliders with green tomato chow chow, watercress 9
- Scotch Egg with Sweet Grass Dairy Thomasville Tomme, pickled onions, preserved apricots 10
- Pork Belly Crepinette with radicchio and nectarine salad, basil-mint vinaigrette 9
- Hogtober Caesar Salad with baby romaine, spicy Caesar dressing, Grana Padano, pork rind croutons 10
- Baby Back Ribs with root beer BBQ sauce and chili cheese dusted fries 24
- Pork Tenderloin with parsnip puree, grilled radicchio, bourbon raisins, persillade 23
- Grilled Pork Chop with NOLA red beans and Carolina Gold rice, Creole mustard glaze 26
- Pan-Seared Cobia with butternut squash puree, seared local apple-cabbage slaw, crisp pancetta 28

In anticipation of the Hogtoberfest menu, South City Kitchen Vinings will host a patio pig roast on Wednesday, October 22nd at 5:30. Executive Chef Chip Ulbrich and his culinary team will roast a whole pig from Beeler’s Pure Pork along with a mess of delicious sides including:
- grilled radiccio with toasted cornbread, nectarine salad and warm bacon vinaigrette
- crushed potato salad with herb dressing
- grilled carrots with smoked peanuts, pickled onions, and preserved lemon
- pork and beans with tomato, house-cured ham hock, and Navy beans
- BBQ coleslaw
- chili-dusted pork rinds
