Keep Smyrna Beautiful will be conducting the seventh annual Smyrna Garden Tour on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Come and be amazed by the variety and beauty of gardens that are tucked away in the Smyrna community. Smyrna has fabulous gardens and this year Keep Smyrna Beautiful gives you a chance to get an inside look at the gardening talents of our active and resourceful citizens.
Enjoy gardens, music, artists, food, a plant sale and more!
Tickets for 2015 Smyrna Garden are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the tour. Tickets are on sale now at the Recycling Center (3475 Lake Drive), Community Center, Heart and Soul on Concord Road, Vickery Hardware and Neighbors Feed and Seed Supply on Roswell Street. (The tickets are $15 in advance until 5:30 Friday, May 15th, and $20 the day of the tour at the Taylor-Brawner House.)
Proceeds from the 2015 Garden Tour will be used to plant trees at Brawner Park and other public places.
The following are some helpful tips:
* Rain or shine
* Carpool if possible; parking will be limited
* Wear comfortable walking shoes. You may want to bring along your preferred sunscreen and insect repellent in case you need them.
* Restrooms and free refreshments are available at the Tea Room (Taylor-Brawner House). Leave your ticket stub there for the door prize drawing.
* Strollers will not be appropriate for all gardens.
