South City Kitchen Vinings (SCKV) will celebrate its inaugural Tomatofeast August 1-10 with a special menu featuring dishes that highlight everyone’s favorite summer fruit (yes, it is a fruit), the tomato.
Tomatofeast is the wildly popular event held at La Tavola every summer for the past 10 years. This year, South City Kitchen Vinings is also getting in on the action by offering these Southern-style tomato dishes in addition to their regular menu:

South City Kitchen Vinings will host another installment of Under the Influence, its ongoing culinary education series, on Wednesday, July 31st. Folks who can’t wait until August 1st will be able to preview a day early some of the tomatoes that will be featured on the Tomatofeast menu.
From 5:30-7:00PM, guests will gather on the patio for a tasting of heirloom tomatoes, olive oils, and sea salts. There will be a chef cooking demo complete with samples and a specialty cocktail, and Bill Yoder of Yoder Family Farms in Canton, Georgia, will be on site to answer questions about tomatoes. He will also have some of his home-grown varieties for sale.
The price for this event is $25 (including tax and gratuity), and guests must call 770.435.0700 to secure their spots. South City Kitchen will also offer 15% off for guests who stay for dinner.
