Well what do you expect. With the writer’s strike in California and the apparent cancellation of the Golden Globes and perhaps the Emmy’s, we have to build up some excitement, don’t we? Well, we’ve been working hard to tabulate all the votes, checked for the hanging chads and I know this is hard to believe, but we actually have a tie for Smyrna Vinings Best New Restaurant in 2007.

The winners are (drumroll, please)(I bet the suspense is killing you now)(okay, okay, here it is):

South City Kitchen Muss & Turner

South City Kitchen and Muss & Turner’s bring home the Golden Porkchop. The other interesting thing, is that both South City Kitchen and Muss & Turner’s are located in Ivy Walk at the corner of Atlanta Road and Cumberland Parkway. We hope you had a chance to try out the restaurants that were up for this year’s award, but if not you still can (just can’t vote). And thanks for all the other new restaurants that were nominated, including Varner’s Tavern, McCray’s Tavern and C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar.

I’ve set up the latest poll, so check it out. Same rules, can’t vote until you’ve tried them all. 🙂 I’ll tell you a little more about the new poll tomorrow.

Once again, congratulations to South City Kitchen and Muss & Turner’s for winning Smyrna Vinings Best New Restaurant in 2007.
