The Week in Review:

Home loan rates ended the week unchanged to slightly lower. The debt ceiling debate captured most of the headlines.

What to Expect:

This week our leaders on capital hill will continue to argue about the debt ceiling. Once again, debt concerns overseas will continue to play a role in interest rate moves here in the US.

It’s a big week for earning reports. Companies like Microsoft, Apple and GE and set to announce earnings. Earnings reports coming in above expectations could help push the stock market higher causing home loan rates to rise.

Breg-ometer:

Next 7 Days: Volatility continues. Lock-in short-term transactions
Next 30 Days: Rates have a chance to come down
Next 90 Days: Neutral
