Chalktoberfest 2019, the signature event of the Marietta Museum of Art, will celebrate its 6th year in 2019. FREE & Open to the Public, 10am – 5pm on Saturday, October 12th and 11am – 5pm on Sunday, October 13th.
Chalktoberfest has been awarded Best Festival in Cobb County by Cobb Life Magazine two years in a row and has received the Mayor’s Art Award for the City of Marietta. Additionally, Chalktoberfest received the Spot On Award for the Best Event in Cobb County through Cobb Travel and Tourism. This is truly a unique festival designed to offer something for everyone.
This award-winning festival attracts over 100,000 visitors of all ages to The Marietta Square the second weekend in October. Chalk artists from around the world come to delight visitors with their talents. Art vendors line the street with unique one-of-a-kind artwork while the Craft Beer Festival attendees enjoy of 120 craft beers and 25 wines.
The Craft Beer Festival will only take place on Saturday, October 12th from 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
Purchase your tickets ahead of time to avoid higher ticket prices or being sold out. Last year the this was a sell-out so get your tickets online ahead of time!
The rest of the festival — including work by professional chalk artists, live entertainment, artists’ market, vendors, and activities — is FREE to attend. You only need to purchase a ticket if you want to participate in Saturday’s Craft Beer Festival.
MCMA encourages guests to visit local restaurants, sample food trucks, visit antique cars, visit vendor tents and talk to professional artists from around the country as they create their masterpieces. Live musical fills the square day. You can check out the musical lineup here.
On Sunday October 13th beginning at 11AM, Chalktoberfest 2019 kicks off the Community Chalk Competition for children of all ages. It is a non-professional Chalk Competition with Youth, Teen, School, and Adult Divisions. Winners will be announced at 3:00PM.
All proceeds go to the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.
