You are invited to the upcoming 2017 Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival on October 28th & 29th. The festival hours of operation are 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 28th and Noon – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 29th.
The Jonquil Festival has a history of over 20 years and will feature over 175 hand-made arts & crafts booths, local non-profit booths, puppet shows, live music, plenty of festival foods, and children’s activities. Artisans are from all over the southeast and feature their own hand made crafts, paintings, clothing, furniture, jewelry and much more.
The 2017 Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival is held on the beautiful Village Green in downtown Smyrna, Georgia next to the fabulous Market Village.
2017 Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival Highlights:
- Food–and plenty of it – pizza, cotton candy, candy apples, corn dogs, hand-dipped ice cream, snow cones, polish sausage, chicken sandwiches, and BBQ and more
- Fun stuff for the kids – interactive inflatable activities, sand art, costume contest and a children’s costume parade for the kids Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
- Children’s Halloween Costume Parade – Saturday, October 28 at 9:30 a.m. FREE. Prizes for best costume in three age groups.
- Friends of the Smyrna Library book sale
- Keep Smyrna Beautiful jonquil bulbs sale
- Puppeteer Peter Hart – Peter’s puppet show is a crowd favorite with unique marionettes and puppet characters that sing, dance, juggle, play fiddle, break apart and come back together, squirt water, and are even launched by catapult across the stage.
- Smooth Sounds of Scott Thompson – J. Scott Thompson has played with or opened for legendary artists such as Steve Cropper, Leon Russell, Jimmy Hall, and Charlie Daniels to name a few. He will be performing on the Veteran’s Memorial lawn, adjacent to the Fall Jonquil Food Court, both Saturday and Sunday.
