The Smyrna Fire and Police departments joined together with local military personnel today to help spread a lot of holiday joy to area children in need. Their goal was to take 50 underprivileged children from local elementary schools to the Austell Wal-Mart for a day of shopping to make purchases for their Christmas. These 50 children from Argyle, Belmont Hills, Brown, King Springs and Nickajack Elementary schools were also be treated to breakfast at the Chick-fil-A on South Cobb Drive and later to lunch at McDonald’s inside the Wal-Mart.
The event is funded by the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation and from contributions from supporters like you. They would love for everyone to participate this year in making this worthwhile program a success. All donations are tax deductible.
