The 2nd Annual Smyrna Auction for Heroes Gala will be held at Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road, on September 10th, 6-10pm, hosted by residents and businesses of Smyrna to benefit the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation (SPSF). The Honorary Chair for the event is City of Smyrna Mayor Max Bacon.
Proceeds from the Gala benefit the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation (SPSF), a non-profit, 501c organization that raises funds to support Smyrna Police Officers and FireFighters by funding:
- Shop with a Hero program (holiday shopping for disadvantaged children),
- Disaster Recovery (assistance for residents recovering from a disaster),
- Public Safety and Service Recognition (awards for our firefighters and police officers)
- Community Outreach projects and
- the purchase of Safety Equipment our Heroes would not otherwise have.
This promises to become one of the premier events in Smyrna every year. They envision a community-wide effort in bringing residents and businesses together to help our “Heroes” maintain and increase safety in our community.
The Gala includes a live and silent auction, entertainment, food and beverages.
Mingle with Smyrna’s firefighter and police officer heroes and enjoy live performances by Wesley Cook, One of 8 national finalists in Rolling Stone’s Street to Stage Competition and voted as one of Jezebel Magazines ‘Most Eligible Atlantans’, along with the wildly popular Las Vegas-style dance band, Kingsized with Big Mike Geier and the Dames Aflame along with delicious food.
The event includes both live and silent auctions of goods and services from area residents and businesses such as jewelry; fine and decorative art; health, beauty, and fitness services; golf outings and lessons; wine & wine tastings; restaurant certificates; pet grooming; home decor items; accessories; celebrity, sports, film, and rock n’ roll collectibles and memorabilia; lavish trips; auto supplies; and many other fun and exciting items.
They invite the entire community to give back to these heroes who give so much to Smyrna citizens every day.
