Wildwood

Wildwood is located to the east of Powers Ferry Road and is adjoined by 1,200 acres of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Originally, the Wildwood area was built as a multi-phase office complex, which began construction in 1981 by Cousins Properties Incorporated. In recent years, further development of this largely wooded area has included residential homes, townhomes and condos.

The community is an unincorporated area of Cobb County and is essentially on the other end of the 30339 zip code from Vinings, with the exception that Wildwood is located outside of I-285, but still has an Atlanta address. This is the only area of Cobb County located outside of I-285 with an Atlanta address.

The unique aspect of Wildwood is that it is a very small residential area largely tucked in behind office buildings. So it’s a very private location and since Wildwood is tucked away in the forest, it’s hard to believe you are living so close to the city. All those that work or live in the area enjoy the natural surroundings and the access to nature trails, jogging and hiking paths.

The community is bounded by Powers Ferry Road to the west, Wildwood Parkway to the north Chattahoochee River to the east and Akers Mill Parkway to the south. Wildwood’s neighbors are Smyrna to the west, Marietta to the north, Sandy Springs to the east and the Cumberland Improvement District and Buckhead to the south.

Cobb County School System operates the public schools serving Wildwood. The public elementary schools include Brumby Elementary, East Cobb Middle School and Wheeler High School.

With easy commutes to Downtown Atlanta, Midtown Atlanta, Buckhead and the Perimeter areas, Wildwood offers a unique location for those looking for great homes, at an affordable price with amazing community amenities.
