Smyrna Shredfest 2019

Smyrna Shredfest 2019

Keep Smyrna Beautiful is holding Smyrna Shredfest 2019 on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Wolfe Recreation Center. This is your opportunity to have household papers securely shredded on site. Keep Smyrna Beautiful will have volunteers on hand to help you unload your boxes (limit of 5 copy paper sized boxes per car, please). A-1 Shredding will be shredding on site.

Do you have paper overflowing in your home? Time to get rid of it safely and securely.

In order to reduce the amount of waste generated by Smyrna residents and other community members, Keep Smyrna Beautiful hosts two community document shredding events annually. These events provide a means for safe and secure document shredding and recycling. Event is open to everyone and is free but cash donations are appreciated and will be accepted onsite. Donations are used to cover the cost of the event.

In 2018, 24,000 pounds of documents were recycled. Since 2015, an estimated 100,000 pounds of paper has been diverted from the landfill from this event alone.

Want to watch your paper being shredded? After unloading, park to the side and you can watch.

This event is for paper only. Participants can bring up to 5 copy paper sized boxes of documents. All binders, clips, and folders must be removed prior.

The event will be held at:
