2019 Smyrna Birthday Celebration
Join us on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 6-10pm for the 2019 Smyrna Birthday Celebration. On the Village Green is where the fun and fireworks happen!
This annual and very special Smyrna happening is tons of fun with a GIANT birthday cake – donated each year by McEntyre’s Bakery – children’s entertainment and a fireworks display at the end! Join us in celebrating the birth of Smyrna with family and friends.
Rent a table from Parks and Recreation or bring a blanket and/or a chair along with a picnic basket. Special Note:
The music starts at 6:00 PM and goes strong until the fireworks. Plan for Fireworks at 9:00 PM, weather permitting.
Banks & Shane are back for 2019. Banks & Shane is “Atlanta’s Entertainment Tradition,” combining exceptional talent, consummate showmanship and professionalism, and over forty years of experience. The Banks & Shane band is comprised of Banks Burgess on banjo and guitar, Paul Shane on guitar and trombone, Chuck Shane on drums and bass, Jim Durand on Electric and acoustic guitars, and Dennis Law on drums.
Banks and Shane is a high-energy, hard-kicking, blow-the-roof off band that has had capacity crowds around the world dancing in the aisles to party favorites and reminiscing with memorable ballads. No matter what age, Banks and Shane transports fans back to Spring Break.

There is plenty of fun, great music and good vibes on the Village Green as the 2019 Smyrna Summer Concert Series is bringing fun times to the community.
The Smyrna Summer Concerts are a great time to spend with friends and family. So plan now. If you have not reserved a table for the concert, then be sure to plan accordingly. A blanket, some chairs, small table will do wonders. Be sure to call your friends to make sure they have it on the schedule and then start planning some great appetizers, drinks and desserts to bring to the festivities. If you find yourself at the concert and run out of libations, then head over and see Rene at The Wine Cellars for a wonderful selection of wine or craft beers.
If you are still interested in a table for the concert, it may not be too late. Smyrna Summer Concert table reservations can still be made.
The 2019 Smyrna Summer Concert Series are Litter Free events. Keep Smyrna Beautiful will have recycling bins next to the garbage bins throughout the concert area for all concerts. You can recycle your glass, plastics, and aluminum cans. Thanks for helping us keep Smyrna clean, green and beautiful!
