Arthur Bacon Golf Tournament 2019

The annual golf tournament with the Mayor is a great way to mix business and fun. The Arthur Bacon Golf Tournament 2019 honors the former Mayor and is the City of Smyrna’s annual golf championship. The tournament was first hosted in 1986.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Smyrna Arts Council, an amazing 501c nonprofit organization that enriches our local community by providing leadership in advocating, initiating and integrating arts in our community. Several projects include Community Arts, Art & Wine Stroll, support of Campbell High School art, theatre and music initiatives, and SmyrnaGaRocks. This two-day event will be conducted at Fox Creek Golf Club (1501 Windy Hill Road) on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th, 2019.

The focus of the tournament is to have fun through fellowship. This annual championship with the Mayor is a great way to mix business and fun!

There will be a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start each day. You may choose to play in the Championship Flight or Two-Person Scramble.  Groups will be paired with preferred partner requests.  Individual handicaps will not be considered when scoring.

A continental breakfast, on-course lunch, and refreshments after the round will be provided on Saturday. A continental breakfast, refreshments, and a buffet style meal will be provided on Sunday. Free-range balls will be provided each day. Tee gifts will be given out to each player on Saturday. There will also be prizes for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.

The tournament fee is $125 per person and is limited to the first 100 completed applications received.
