2018 July 4th Fireworks Celebrations

Where will you be watching your Fourth of July fireworks celebration? As I’m sure you know, Smyrna Vinings does not hold their own fireworks show on July 4th. Our big fireworks show comes up during the upcoming Smyrna Birthday celebration on Saturday, August 4th. So if you’re wanting a fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day, here are some of the options in metro Atlanta.

4th of July Celebration at International Plaza

Due to construction at Centennial Olympic Park, the 2018 July 4th Celebration moves to Georgia International Plaza (west of Philips Arena). Gates open at 6 p.m., entertainment begins at 7 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. Free.

The headliner is chart-topping R&B trio After 7, best known for the hits “Ready or Not” and “Can’t Stop,” performing with JFly and Friends.

Decatur’s Pied Piper Parade, Concert & Fireworks on the 4th

Get on your feet and join the Pied Piper Parade as it makes its way through downtown Decatur on July 4. Gather friends and family, ride your bike, walk or skate in this community parade – it’s for anyone and everyone! Neighborhoods and organizations are encouraged to make floats and join the fun too. And don’t forget your red, white and blue!

Parade lineup is at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave. Pedestrians should gather on the lawn and vehicles will line up in the parking lot.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. The Concert on the Square starts at 7 p.m. in the Community Bandstand and features the Callanwolde Concert Band. Fireworks begin at dark (approximately 9 p.m.).

Roswell’s 19th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza

The 19th Annual Roswell Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Roswell High School on the front lawn. This wonderful Roswell tradition is a great family event filled with live stage performances, a Kids Zone and great food! You won’t want to miss Roswell’s largest community celebration! Bring your picnic blankets, chairs, and the entire family. However, dogs are not allowed at this event. (Roswell High is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free school).

Activities kick off at 5:30 PM with Kids Zone with giant Inflatables, carnival games, prizes and music. Lots of food trucks will be on-hand. Live music gets started at 6:00 PM with the Last Call Band and Banks and Shane. Spectacular Fireworks Begin at Dark.

July 4th Festivities and Fireworks at Wills Park in Alpharetta

Celebrate Independence Day with family and friends at Wills Park on Wednesday, July 4!  Alpharetta Recreation and Parks will host an evening of entertainment and children’s activities on the lawn and field behind Alpharetta Community Center from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with a spectacular fireworks display to begin at dusk! Alpharetta City Band is set to perform patriotic tunes starting at 6 p.m., followed by followed by a local band playing classic rock and new country favorites.

Red, White and Brew Beer Fest at the Georgia Aquarium

Celebrate Independence Day at Georgia Aquarium on Wednesday, July 4 with unlimited beer and cider samples, classic BBQ dinner, live music, and over 500 aquatic species! Red, White and Brew will be held in our magnificent Oceans Ballroom with views of our beluga whales, manta rays and whale sharks. At the end of the evening, Red, White & Brew guests are invited to the top level of our parking deck for a view of downtown Atlanta’s Fourth of July Celebration spectacular fireworks show. 21 and over only.

Marietta Fourth of July Celebration on the Marietta Square

The city of Marietta’s Fourth in the Park celebration begins begins Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and fireworks finale.

Stone Mountain Park: 49th Annual Fantastic Fourth Celebration

Sandy Springs Stars and Stripes Celebration

It’s become a much-anticipated tradition, and on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, the Sandy Springs community will gather at the Concourse Corporate Center lawn to celebrate the nation’s birthday as part of the City’s Stars and Stripes Celebration. Music from the band Shiloh will begin at 7:30 pm and fireworks will dazzle the sky beginning at 9:45 pm. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and enjoy an evening under the stars. Pets, tents, outdoor cooking, drones, alcohol, and personal-use sparklers will not be permitted.
