The Atlanta Braves will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the new stadium on Tuesday, September 16th at 11 a.m.
The new stadium will be located at the intersection of Interstates 285 and 75 in Cumberland district of Cobb County.
The stadium is expected to cost $672 million and will be built in time for Opening Day in 2017 according to organizers.
The Braves stadium will feature 41,500 seats, a three-deck design and an extensive canopy. It will also include a multi-use community featuring shops, restaurants and other year-round attractions.
