Looking for something different in the local supermarket scene? Pete DeBuys, Janet Rau and Laura Compo are attempting to convince Trader Joe’s that Smyrna would be a great place to call home and are asking for your assistance. They’ve created a petition beckoning TJs to open up in Smyrna Vinings. If you’re a fan of Trader Joe’s and are tired of driving to Sandy Springs or Buckhead, please sign the Trader Joe’s petition.

We The People of Smyrna/Vinings, in order to form a more perfect grocery, establish value, insure quality and provide for the common wellness, promote the general foodie community, and secure the blessings of healthy choices to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Petition for Trader Joe’s of Smyrna/Vinings, Cobb County, Georgia, USA.
Publix, Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, and Costco, “the competition,” offer the same products with commercial branding or private labels for the grocer with little regard to selection, variety, or freshness.
Smyrna/Vinings is a community of 150,000 citizens with an average age of 31, living in 80,000 homes, and an average household income of $95,000. $228,000,000 was spent on food, wine, beer, and liquor in 2011.
Our neighborhoods are underserved in the areas in which Trader Joe’s excels. TJ’s lifestyle products, attitudes, and philosophy are copacetic with Smyrna/Vinings and we look forward to welcoming you into our community.

Please come to Smyrna!!!! We have to drive 30 minutes (with traffic) to go to the nearest Trader Joes and it limits how often we can go!

Please open a store in Smyrna! People who live farther west would also shop there on the way home from work. Atlanta Road & Concord has an empty lot. Or S. Cobb Dr& Concord has a plaza that Kroger moved out of to build new across the street. EW Connector & S.Cobb would be convenient to Vjnnings, Smyrna & those wh commute farther west. Or near Cumberland Mall. So many options! We’d help promote you.
