And if you need a space to garden, the City of Smyrna and Keep Smyrna Beautiful have created a wonderful community garden. The Community Garden, located at the new North Cooper Lake Park (4201 N. Cooper lake Road, Smyrna Ga 30082) is fenced with an 8-foot chain-link fence that was paid for with a $10,000 grant to Keep Smyrna Beautiful from United Parcel Service of America, Inc. (UPS).

With the help of IBM volunteers, raised beds were constructed from 2×10 cedar lumber. Smyrna resident and landscape architect Sean Murphy, who designed the new community garden in Suwannee, has donated design services, renderings and technical advice.

The Smyrna Communtiy Garden has 98 plots of four different sizes:

5’x6′ small – fee is $40

5’x8′ medium – fee is $50

5’x12′ large – fee is $75

10’x13 jumbo – fee is $195

If you would like volunteer or to sign up for a plot, please call 770-431-2863 or email
