The Embassy Suites Atlanta-Galleria is celebrating their 25th anniversary by starting a new annual tradition. For the holiday season, the hotel’s lobby is filled with 25 Christmas trees that have been decorated in a contest for charity. The winner will be announced at a gathering of friends to mark a new milestone.
The First Annual Festival of Trees will be an opportunity for the Atlanta community to indulge in the spirit of the season and give back to the non-profit organization of their choice. Each one of the trees in the lobby was decorated November 19th through the 21st.
The atrium in the lobby is highlighted with twinkling bulbs and sparkling decorations. Each tree tells a story about the organization and you may vote on your favorite tree by way of a monetary donation to that organization. What a simple way to give back to the community during this holiday season.
The Embassy Suites Atlanta-Galleria will be serving free hot chocolate in the evenings for anyone who wants to come out with family and friends for a viewing of all 25 entries from November 22, 2010 – December 31, 2010.
The culmination of the festival will be the hotel’s Anniversary Gala Reception on Thursday, December 16th from 5:30-8:00 pm. A delectable spread of holiday fare will be provided and traditional carols will be performed by local choirs and bands.
The donations for each tree will be totaled and announced to all attendees. The tree with the highest total of monetary donations will receive the grand prize of an additional donation awarded by a special host.
