smyrna-garden-tourKeep Smyrna Beautiful will be conducting the first annual Smyrna Garden Tour on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Come and be amazed by the variety and beauty of gardens that are tucked away in the Smyrna community.

Smyrna is brimming with skillful, generous gardeners, willing to share their passion and knowledge to help you create your own peaceful spaces at home. Their goal is to help them share this knowledge and help us make all of Smyrna as beautiful and pleasant a place to live as it can be. Additional education materials will be available on site.

Tickets are available for $10 advance and $15 day of event. Tickets are available at Carter’s Pharmacy and Karen’s Gifts, Backyard Feed and Seed, Pie-in-the-Sky and The Smyrna Community Center.

The Tea Room at the Smyrna Community Center will provide ticket sales, light refreshments, wonderful door prizes and an opportunity to meet with the Garden Tour Sponsors and local gardening experts and resources. Attendees can tour the Smyrna Sensory Garden and our Native Tree Arboretum (with over 90 native trees and shrubs) featured on the Smyrna Community Center Grounds.
