The Smyrna Fire and Police departments are joining forces this year in spreading holiday cheer to area children with a day just for them…breakfast and lunch in addition to a shopping trip. Children are selected by school counselors who arrange to have them picked up in the morning at school on the day of the event and returned later in the afternoon.
The “Shop with a Hero” program provides for a wonderful Christmas for underprivileged children in the community. Due to your generous donations last year, 45 children were able to go shopping. This year the Smyrna Fire and Police departments have set a goal of hleping 100 children.
They would love your financial support and even if you’re not financially able to donate money this year, please consider assisting them with chaperoning the children and see how this event brightens their spirits.
